Why the answer is B, and why the others tempt you.
First, XZ = √(8² + 6²) = √(64 + 36) = √100 = 10 cm. The area of triangle XYZ = ½ × 8 × 6 = 24 cm². Also, area = ½ × XZ × YW = ½ × 10 × YW. Setting equal: 5 × YW = 24, so YW = 24/5 = 4.8 cm.
