Why the answer is A, and why the others tempt you.
The nth term of an A.P. is given by T_n = a + (n-1)d. Here a = 3, d = 4, n = 10. So T_10 = 3 + (10-1)(4) = 3 + 36 = 39. Option B (43) results from using n instead of (n-1), and option D (47) uses n+1.
