A Mawdu' Hadith is one that has been fabricated and falsely attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It is the lowest and most rejected category of Hadith. Evidence of fabrication may come from the narrator's own admission, historical impossibility, or content that grossly contradicts established Islamic principles. A single weak narrator makes a Hadith Da'if, not necessarily Mawdu'.
