Which of the following Qur'anic Surahs does NOT begin with the Basmalah ('Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim')?

Surah Al-Tawbah (Chapter 9) is the only Surah in the Qur'an that does not begin with the Basmalah. Scholars differ on the reason, with the most common explanation being that it was revealed as a declaration of war against polytheists, and the Basmalah, which signifies mercy and peace, was therefore considered inappropriate at its beginning. Surah Al-Naml (27:30) contains the Basmalah within its text, making the total occurrence of the Basmalah 114 times.
