The following information relates to the cash book and bank statement of Emeka Traders for the month of March 2023: (i) The cash book balance as at 31 March 2023 showed a debit balance of N48,500. (ii) The bank statement balance as at 31 March 2023 showed a credit balance of N61,200. (iii) Cheques issued to suppliers totalling N18,700 had not yet been presented to the bank for payment. (iv) Deposits of N6,000 made on 31 March 2023 did not appear on the bank statement. (v) Bank charges of N850 appeared on the bank statement but had not been recorded in the cash book. (vi) A standing order payment of N2,400 for insurance appeared on the bank statement but was not in the cash book. (vii) A customer's cheque for N3,750 previously credited in the cash book was returned unpaid by the bank (dishonoured cheque). (viii) Interest credited by the bank of N1,200 had not been entered in the cash book. (a) Prepare an updated (adjusted) Cash Book for Emeka Traders as at 31 March 2023.
